Rodent Infestation and its Effect on Public Health Globally

This presentation centers on the growing public health problem of global rodent infestation.  Its seeks to raise public awareness about the real dangers associated with exposure to vectors of disease, such as rats and mice.  These rodents are capable of carrying and spreading multiple infectious diseases that can harm large human populations by contaminating food and water supplies in urban, suburban, and rural environments.  The presentation also provides information to educate public agencies regarding the importance of using preventive measures in order to protect the health and well-being of humans in the United States and abroad.  Rats and mice continue to cause vector-borne illnesses worldwide and are responsible for enormous annual crop damages and economic losses for the agricultural industry globally as well.  It encourages community members to become actively involved in preventing rodent infestation in homes, schools, restaurants, and other public business environments.
