Preschool Portions: Good Things Come in Small Packages

This presentation focuses on healthy eating habits and portions sizes for the preschool audience.  It is a brief curriculum that can be used either by a parent volunteer or a preschool teacher.  It provides basic suggestions for how to introduce healthy foods, recognize the correct portion size, and incorporate physical activities to be used in the classroom setting.  Click on the link below to view the presentation.

    Great job on your presentation. You offer many fun and innovative ideas for an age group that is usually not talked about very often. Everyone is concerned about the babies and then the adults. More information and direction should be given about the inbetween stages. This would be a great presentation for early childhood workers. It is very professional looking, it sticks to the point and offers many “take action” moments for the audience to remember.

    • Thanks for the kind words. This age group is important to me because my two children are in this category and I was not finding a lot of support from their school about watching the portions and the healthy choices as I liked.
