Childhood Lead Poisoning

Childhood lead poisoning can have devastating effects on all parties involved. The poisoned child can suffer developmental disabilities and possibly even death. The parents of the child may have to utilize medical and educational assistance programs to aid in the goal of getting the child back to normal health and educational levels. For property owners that rent and/or lease property where a child has been lead poisoned, may encounter legal problems as well as financial problems for the cost of abating the premises. For these reasons and more parents and landlords must be educated in the area of childhood lead poisoning.
