River Blindness in Africa -
Most people in rural Africa lack potable drinking water and depend on fresh flowing streams and rivers for water for daily needs. Most of these streams are polluted with sewage, solid and liquid wastes. They are therefore fertile breeding places for blackflies which are the vectors for human infection with river blindness disease.
Thank you.
